KFC India resumes delivery to customers in partnership with Swiggy and Zomato
In compliance with government’s notification, classifying food delivery as one of the essential services during the lockdown period, KFC India has resumed its delivery services across India through food aggregators - Swiggy and Zomato.
To ensure health and safety of consumers as well as team members in the current situation, the brand has stringent operational protocols.
There is intensified sanitization of all restaurants areas at regular intervals through the day, including sanitizing of tables, counters, doors and door handles every 30 minutes
The delivery teams wash and sanitize their hands, alongside sanitizing delivery bags, after delivering each order
All team members undergo daily temperature checks
The riders follow a strict protocol of wearing masks and hand gloves at all times, during the delivery process
The delivery bags are sanitized after use and placed in another bag to avoid spillage of food and beverages
The brand has also launched ‘Contactless Delivery’ service, to ensure that their delivery member will deliver food at the consumer's doorstep, without any contact with the consumer for prepaid orders. Once at the destination, Rider places the bag with the food at the doorstep, steps back a few steps, calls the customer to inform that he's there and the food is outside the door, waits for the customer to open the door and collect food.
KFC sources their chicken from reputed vendors like Venky’s and Godrej to ensure that it meets the highest quality standards. The food is prepared with utmost care and is it cooked at a high temperature of 170 degrees.
