The Vogue Bridal Studio saw models displaying JADE’s upcoming bridal collection, Videha’s Siya, set to be showcased at Vogue Wedding Show 2016. The collection is inspired by the celebrated love story of Ram and Sita depicted in the form of Mithila art. The Mithila paintings embody millennia of culture, festivities, and traditions. An origin traced back to the time of Ramayana, these paintings reverberate amorous poetry, distinctively depicting the union of two souls. The session was held over a delightful high tea where Monica and Karishma interacted with Vogue India’s Fashion Features Director- Bandana Tewari, taking the guests through the season’s bridal couture trends. The bridal wear displayed at the event, was an exclusive preview to JADE’s wedding couture collection for the Vogue Wedding Show in August. This was followed by an insightful Q&A section where they acquainted the guests to the new store, and also shared some bridal tips with the invitees.

Talking about the initiative, Bandana Tewari, Fashion Features Director of Vogue India, said, “The Vogue Wedding Show 2016 Bridal Studio has been conceptualized to pique the interest of consumers and give them some insight on what they can expect if they attend the Vogue Wedding Show in New Delhi this August. JADE’s new store lent grandiosity and vintage charm which perfectly set the mood for the evening. The response from the women who attended, as has been the case in our past bridal studios, was both positive and encouraging. The discerning, fashionable women of the city were privy to many insights including bridal wear commandments and styling tips from JADE designer duo – Monica & Karishma. We look forward to meeting and connecting with them again at the Vogue Wedding Show in August.”

Speaking at the event, designer duo Monica and Karishma of JADE said “We are happy to be a part of the bridal studio this year. It is a beautiful platform for us to connect with our brides-to-be and give them a preview of the bridal couture that we will be showcasing at the Vogue Wedding Show in August.” They went on to share details of the collection that was showcased, “JADE’s creations always revolve around the new age women- confident, glamorous and experimental. The looks speak of the stunning bride with artistic capes, flared lehengas, setting a benchmark for sartorial elegance. The opulent lehengas intricately crafted with contemporary designs are impeccable for the W-day.”

About Vogue Wedding Show:

The Indian wedding market is rapidly growing at an annual rate of 25-30 per cent. While wedding fairs are a common feature in recent times, there is nothing that caters solely to affluent families with big marriage budgets. Identifying this need-gap, Vogue India’s exclusive, ‘by invitation only’ Vogue Wedding Show acts as the final arbitrator of luxury for discerning audiences, connecting them to the finest brands in the bridal space.

The Vogue Wedding Show, a specially curated exhibition by Vogue India, featuring the most luxurious and personalized wedding services, was launched in 2013. Given the overwhelming response it received, Vogue India launched The Vogue Bridal Studio in 2014, with an attempt to bring the city’s elite a preview of the main event in August and a chance to interact with distinguished representatives of the fashion and bridal couture industry. As an extension of the event, Vogue India has created the Vogue Wedding Book–a keepsake wedding directory featuring each participating brand editorially. Having a year-long relevance, the book is complementary with the September issue of the magazine.

About Vogue India:

About JADE:

JADE was born of a fiercely creative spirit and a unique sensibility. Launched in October 2008 by designers Monica & Karishma, who found their calling in fashion early. Monica discovered her innate talent and love for draping at Central Saint Martins, London while Karishma honed her skills in fashion at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, India’s premier fashion institute. Having been successfully researching and consulting for internationally acclaimed fashion labels for over a decade, they felt a yearning to chart a different course. JADE is the culmination of this yearning.
